For a social institution in the Muri / Freiamt region, we are looking for an experienced specialist who is confident in both accounting and payroll administration. The organisation offers professional support to people in various life situations and has correspondingly diverse administrative and personnel structures.
In this role, you are a central pillar of the administration: you ensure reliable financial accounting, are responsible for the monthly payroll processing, and together with internal contacts, ensure that financial and personnel-related processes function correctly and on time.

Responsibilities:
You largely manage the ongoing financial accounting including general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable independently.
You regularly reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet items.
You prepare payment runs and ensure correct and timely processing.
You actively contribute to periodic closings and take on defined closing entries.
You prepare the relevant documents and reconciliations for the annual financial statements according to Swiss Code of Obligations.
You support external audits and reliably provide the required evidence.
You independently manage the monthly payroll accounting for the organisation's employees.
You correctly process entries and exits, salary changes, withholding taxes and other payroll mutations.
You coordinate social insurances, pension fund, accident and daily sickness benefits with the relevant authorities.
You prepare salary certificates and year-end declarations on time.
You support the internal team with selected personnel administration tasks.
You are a trusted contact person for employees regarding questions about salary, insurance and administrative matters.
You further develop existing finance and payroll processes in terms of efficiency, digitalisation and quality.
Qualifications:
Commercial basic training or comparable professional background
Several years of experience in finance and accounting
Solid practical knowledge of Swiss payroll accounting
Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and account reconciliations
Knowledge of monthly and annual closing tasks
Good understanding of the Swiss social insurance and withholding tax system
Further training in finance and accounting, payroll, social insurance or fiduciary is an advantage
Experience with Abacus, especially finance and payroll accounting, is particularly welcome
Confident use of Excel and digital administration systems
Very good German language skills
Precise and structured working style as well as strong sense of responsibility
Discretion in handling confidential financial, payroll and personnel data
Enjoyment of a versatile role in which you work independently and at the same time collaborate closely with various internal departments
