Network Solutions Engineer (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF95,000 - 115,000Role:
You are responsible for the operation, monitoring and maintenance of the entire network infrastructure - from switches and routers to firewalls, WLAN and VPN. In this versatile position, you implement and develop modern network and security solutions, plan and document network projects such as migrations, expansions and security audits. You analyse and resolve faults as well as performance issues in 2nd and 3rd level support, ensure network security through firewalls, monitoring and patch management, and contribute to backup and disaster recovery strategies. In addition, you evaluate and integrate new network technologies and drive forward innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the operation, monitoring and maintenance of the entire network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, WLAN, VPN)
You implement and develop modern network and security solutions
You plan, execute and document network projects (e.g. migrations, expansions, security audits)
You analyse and resolve network faults as well as performance issues in 2nd and 3rd level support
You ensure network security through firewalls, monitoring and patch management and contribute to backup and disaster recovery strategies
In addition, you evaluate and integrate new network technologies and develop forward-looking solutions
Qualifications:
You have a solid education in computer science (EFZ) or an equivalent qualification as well as several years of professional experience as an ICT system engineer
You possess very good knowledge of common network protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP)
You have experience handling network components (e.g. Cisco, Fortinet)
Ideally, you have additional qualifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+ or comparable
You think analytically and in a networked way, are a team player and work agilely
You bring a high level of commitment and initiative
