Finance and Accounting Specialist 80 - 100% (m/f/d)

What is my role?

Our client, a company in the field of real estate development and management in the Bern region, is looking for you as a central finance person to directly support the management. In this key position, you take full responsibility for the finance and accounting of several companies. You work in a two-person team together with a clerk whom you professionally guide.

Your versatile tasks:

• Independent management of the financial accounting of several companies from A to Z, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements

• Coordination of the annual audits with external auditors as the main contact person

• Management of all subsidiary ledgers as well as monitoring of accounts receivable management

• Preparation of tax and VAT returns, also for mixed-use properties

• Responsibility for property accounting including heating and ancillary cost accounting

• Active participation in development projects and digitalisation initiatives

• Continuous optimisation of existing financial processes

• Professional guidance of your clerk in the team

What do I need to be successful?

What you bring to shine in this role:

You have completed a commercial apprenticeship and specialised specifically in finance and accounting. Whether through a professional certificate, a bachelor’s degree focusing on accounting and controlling, or a comparable qualification that makes you a finance professional.

This makes you the ideal candidate:

• Practical experience in finance and accounting, where you have already proven that you master complex financial topics confidently

• Solid know-how in financial statement preparation and VAT. Experience with property accounting is an additional plus

• You work independently, in a structured way and with an eye for detail, without losing sight of the big picture
