GRC & Information Security Officer (m/f/d)

Role:
You shape information security at an organisational and strategic level and ensure that risks are systematically identified, assessed, and reduced. In doing so, you combine ISMS, IT risk management, compliance, and security governance and work closely with IT, specialist departments, management, and external partners.
Responsibilities:
You continuously develop and operate the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
You conduct risk analyses, assess information security risks, and coordinate appropriate measures.
You coordinate the handling of IT security incidents together with internal teams and external partners.
You plan and accompany internal and external audits as well as certification processes.
You develop policies, standards, and processes for information security and keep them up to date.
You further develop business continuity and emergency concepts and ensure their practical applicability.
You support security-by-design and assess cloud and IT architectures from a security perspective.
You advise specialist departments, IT, and management on questions concerning information security and compliance.
You coordinate data protection-related requirements in the IT environment and support their implementation.
You conduct awareness and training measures and strengthen employees’ security awareness.
Qualifications:
You have completed a degree in computer science, IT security or a comparable qualification.
You bring professional experience in information security, IT governance, or IT risk management.
You are familiar with standards and frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001 and NIST.
You have experience with risk analyses, audits, and security incidents.
You have a good understanding of modern IT and cloud environments.
You work analytically, structured, and independently.
You can communicate complex security topics clearly to IT, specialist departments, and management.
You have native-level German and very good English skills at least at C1 level.
Knowledge in the area of data protection as well as certifications such as CISSP, CISM or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are advantageous.
