What you can contribute to
- organising Switzerland's relations with the European Union (EU) in the field of public health, notably by analysing health policy developments within the EU, preparing Switzerland's participation in high-level meetings and maintaining targeted contacts with partners
- supporting foreign and domestic policy work related to the Swiss-EU health agreement (including legal aspects)
- defending health policy interests within the framework of existing bilateral agreements between Switzerland and the EU
- handling political matters related to Switzerland's relations with the EU in the health sector (Federal Council, Parliament)
- representing the division's interests in other areas of competence (including Switzerland's relations with France in public health, maintaining necessary contacts in French, both written and oral)
What makes you unique
- degree from a university, preferably in law or political science, and several years of experience in the federal administration and/or an international context
- good knowledge of public administration and Swiss political processes
- good knowledge of the EU and its public health policy
- good knowledge of Switzerland's public health policy
- understanding of political mechanisms, strategic and systemic approach, analytical and writing skills, sense of responsibility and ability to work in a team
- active knowledge of two official languages and very good knowledge of English
