Cyber Security Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
In this role, you actively shape the transition towards greater sustainability in shipping by taking responsibility as a Cyber Security Expert OT Systems for the protection of modern marine propulsion systems. You ensure that operational technologies in complex two-stroke propulsion systems function reliably and securely. You work on innovative security solutions that meet the high demands of a global, rapidly changing environment. Through your expertise in OT security, you contribute decisively to minimising risks and ensuring the availability of critical systems. In doing so, you make a direct contribution to the safe and sustainable future of international sea freight transport.
Responsibilities:
- You monitor relevant cybersecurity regulations and trends for current and future products
- In this role, you derive cybersecurity requirements from legislation, classification rules, and product strategy
- As a Cyber Security Expert OT Systems, you develop the cybersecurity architecture for future products while maintaining compatibility with existing architectures
- You develop strategies and policies for cybersecurity audits, documentation, and training and oversee their compliance
- In this role, you develop and test cybersecurity solutions according to the V-model and manage the technological requirements of cyber-relevant components of automation and control systems for large two-stroke engines
- As a Cyber Security Expert OT Systems, you act as the central contact person for internal and external customers regarding OT cyber resilience of engine control systems and advise on product strategy concerning cybersecurity
Qualifications:
- You hold an MSc or equivalent skills in computer science, automation and control engineering, or a comparable discipline
- You possess in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity standards and methods with a focus on OT (Operational Technologies)
- You have comprehensive knowledge of software architecture and software development processes
- You bring demonstrable expertise in automation and control engineering
- You have solid knowledge of combustion engines, especially large two-stroke engines
- You have experience with IEC 62443 implementation, OT security architecture, gap and risk analyses, network segmentation, system hardening, secure remote access, and cybersecurity compliance programmes
