Role:
You learn cyber security best where real systems need protection every day. As a Junior Cyber Security Engineer, you start exactly here and accompany analyses, security incidents, and hardening measures from the beginning. Experienced professionals support you and share their knowledge about Microsoft Defender, cloud security, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). Step by step, you take on more responsibility and develop your profile purposefully.
Responsibilities:
You monitor security events in the SIEM and analyse suspicious activities.
You assist in analysing security incidents and document the findings thoroughly.
Furthermore, you conduct vulnerability scans and support vulnerability management until resolution.
You help to harden servers, clients, and cloud services in Microsoft Azure.
In addition, you automate recurring processes with PowerShell.
You also maintain security policies and raise employee awareness for phishing and other risks.
Qualifications:
You have completed training or studies in computer science, for example as an IT specialist EFZ or at a university of applied sciences.
You bring initial experience in IT security, system engineering, or support, preferably also from internships or projects.
You understand the basics of networks, firewalls, as well as Windows and Linux systems.
Additionally, you have genuine curiosity about attack techniques and current threats.
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Microsoft SC-900 are a plus.
You communicate confidently in German and are also comfortable with English technical literature.
