IT Infrastructure & Support Engineer (m/f/d)
Our ROCKEN partner is an owner-managed Swiss IT company that supports small and medium-sized enterprises as an IT general contractor throughout the entire infrastructure lifecycle – from the local server landscape through managed services to complete outsourcing in a highly secure, geo-redundant data centre. Role:
A varied position in the field of IT Infrastructure & System Engineering offers the opportunity to take responsibility for modern customer and corporate environments. We are looking for a technically skilled IT specialist who not only operates infrastructure but actively develops and optimises it.
The range of tasks extends from Microsoft 365 and Hyper-V to server and data centre infrastructures and 1st and 2nd level support. The role is complemented by project work, automation, and continuous improvement of IT processes.
Responsibilities:
Administration and further development of Microsoft-based IT infrastructures in internal and external environments
Operation, maintenance, and updating of server, virtualisation, and data centre systems
Implementation and monitoring of patch, update, and deployment processes
Support of users in 1st and 2nd level support – remotely and on-site as needed
Participation in infrastructure projects and optimisation of IT processes
Documentation of systems, solutions, and faults as well as internal coordination in more complex support cases
Qualifications:
Solid practical experience as a System Engineer, IT Administrator or IT Support Engineer
Very good knowledge of the Microsoft environment as well as practical experience with Hyper-V, HPE and Microsoft 365
Knowledge of PowerShell or another scripting language; SQL knowledge is a plus
Strong analytical skills and an independent, structured way of working
Strong communication skills, team orientation, reliability, and high resilience
Very good German skills, good English skills, and a category B driving licence
