Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a committed professional for the development and planning of architecturally demanding building projects in various regions of Switzerland. You will accompany diverse construction projects from the initial design idea through constructive elaboration to structural implementation. The focus is on architectural concept development, precise spatial and material design, and independent participation in project management. The position combines creative design, sound constructive understanding, and holistic architectural planning with the opportunity to shape projects across all relevant planning phases and gradually take on additional responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• Participation in the development and planning of demanding architectural projects with various uses, sizes, and structural requirements

• Development of architectural design concepts and spatial design ideas considering functional, aesthetic, and economic framework conditions

• Processing of preliminary projects, construction projects, and permit planning including development and evaluation of different solution variants

• Elaboration of floor plan, section, and façade concepts with special attention to spatial quality, proportions, and architectural identity

• Development of constructive solutions and architectural details for the technically precise implementation of the design project idea

• Development of material and design concepts focusing on high-quality surfaces, constructive logic, and a coherent overall effect

• Creation and coordination of project, execution, and detail plans across the relevant SIA service phases

• Coordination of architectural planning with structural engineering, building services, and other disciplines to ensure integrated project development

• Participation in project organisation and scheduling as well as independent coordination of defined tasks and project areas

• Preparation and participation in project, planning, and coordination meetings including preparation of decision-making bases and presentation materials

• Close collaboration with project managers, specialist planners, and site management to ensure a design- and constructively high-quality implementation

• Accompanying construction projects through various planning and realisation phases including clarification of technical issues and support in quality assurance

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH or an equivalent recognised university degree in architecture

• Solid knowledge in architectural design and project planning as well as interest in holistic handling of construction projects across multiple planning phases

• Strong design and spatial understanding as well as high sensitivity for proportions, materialisation, construction, and architectural detail quality

• Good understanding of building construction and technical planning processes as well as interest in the precise implementation of demanding architectural concepts

• Confident use of common CAD and digital planning tools as well as willingness to familiarise with project-specific software and working methods

• Independent, structured, and responsible working style with interest in project organisation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and taking on additional responsibility

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form for project coordination and communication as well as teamwork, initiative, and enjoyment in jointly developing high-quality architecture
