IT Infrastructure Support Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:
Together with your team, you ensure reliable 2nd-level support for a complex IT system landscape and handle incoming support requests.
You analyse, qualify, and prioritise incidents and support cases and coordinate their handling with 1st- and 3rd-level support.
You monitor the systems, perform maintenance, updates, and application installations, and ensure stable operation.
You manage asset management, support hardware replacement and system installations, and carry out technical adjustments.
You create and maintain documentation, instructions, and checklists and optimise existing support processes together with the team.
Qualifications:
You have completed a computer science education in system technology, support, or operational IT and bring several years of professional experience.
You have experience with Windows and Linux servers as well as VMware vSphere/ESXi and Hyper-V.
You have knowledge of HPE server infrastructures, Oracle databases, and ideally monitoring solutions such as PRTG or ZENOSS.
You possess basic knowledge of TCP/IP, SAN storage, and backup/restore and work independently, proactively, and solution-oriented.
You are customer- and service-oriented, communicative, and have very good German skills as well as good English skills; willingness to undergo a personal security check is required.
