Our mission at FoodTechScout AG: We connect specialists and leaders from the food and FoodTech industry with the right companies. And the other way around.
Our client is FOOD FOUNDERS Studio, a Swiss venture studio . They license breakthrough food technology IP from leading universities, recruit experienced founders, and co-build B2B FoodTech companies designed for acquisition by large food manufacturers.
This is not an accelerator. They build one company at a time, co-found it as operators, and deploy up to CHF 1M directly into the startup. Their first company, SentiaNova, is closing its Seed round within one year and has built a 75+ prospect commercial pipeline.
The opportunity at a glance
This is a CEO & Co-Founder role for the next FoodTech startup created together with FOOD FOUNDERS Studio in Switzerland. Three prototype-stage technologies in sustainable and nutritious B2B food processing and ingredients have already been shortlisted. The co-founding CEO participates in the final selection to launch a new startup.
The role is based in Zurich, Switzerland, with flexible and remote arrangements possible. A second base in the Netherlands is also part of the setup.
The role offers up to 70 percent founder equity for the founding team and future partners, up to CHF 1M budget for the startup, and a hands-on co-founding team: a product and commercial operator (EverGrain/AB InBev), a venture creation and technology specialist (Mirai Foods), an impact investor with 60+ FoodTech investments, and a 15+ expert board from Nestlé, ADM and AB InBev.

- You take entrepreneurial responsibility for building FOOD FOUNDERS Studio’s second FoodTech startup.
- You evaluate promising technologies from food research and actively influence which solution becomes the foundation of the company.
- You turn scientific substance into a viable B2B business model targeting acquisition by a large food company.
- You bring the selected technology towards market entry, industrial partnerships and scaling.
- You win first B2B customers and build strong relationships within the food industry.
- You lead the fundraising process and create trust with investors, partners and future team members.
- You build your own core team, starting with a CTO, and shape the culture, pace and ambition of the company.
- You work shoulder to shoulder with the FOOD FOUNDERS Studio co-founders across strategy, operations and commercial execution.
- You have already worked as a CEO, founder or C-level leader in a startup.
- You bring strong experience and an active network in the food industry.
- You have fundraising experience and know how to convince investors.
- You understand B2B business models, partnerships and commercialisation in the food industry.
- You can clearly position technological innovation and translate it into a viable business model.
- You speak very good English.
