About Our Client

For our client, an innovative life sciences organisation active in the field of advanced omics technologies, we are looking for a motivated scientist to strengthen its research team. The company operates at the forefront of single-cell and spatial biology, supporting preclinical and translational research programmes that link molecular insight to biological function a field currently experiencing rapid growth as pharmaceutical and biotech organisations increasingly rely on high-resolution cellular data to accelerate drug discovery and precision medicine.

Your Tasks as Biological Research Scientist (m/w/d)

• Design, test, and refine novel NGS-based methods, with a focus on single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial multimodal, and multi-omics workflows to deepen understanding of disease biology and therapeutic targets
• Independently plan and execute laboratory experiments, evaluate the resulting data, and compile clear, well-structured reports
• Ensure all generated data meets FAIR principles through rigorous, high-quality scientific practice
• Work closely with wet-lab colleagues and bioinformatics specialists to translate complex sequencing data into actionable insights for project teams
• Present experimental protocols and findings to internal stakeholders and contribute to platform development

What You Bring

• Master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a comparable field, plus 1–2 years of industry experience in genomics, in-situ hybridization, imaging, or spatial technologies
• Hands-on, demonstrable expertise in advanced molecular methods, particularly Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows
• Strong command of core molecular biology techniques nucleic acid extraction, PCR/qPCR, and NGS library preparation
• Experience handling demanding clinical sample types such as FFPE tissue, primary tumour cells, or low-input material
• A hands-on, curious mindset for developing and continuously improving experimental protocols
• Confidence to work independently designing experiments, interpreting data, and communicating results clearly
• Strong collaboration skills across diverse, cross-functional teams, combined with fluent English and genuine enthusiasm for building professional networks; prior exposure to single-cell or spatial transcriptomics platforms is a plus
