PROJECT ARCHITECT (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a committed professional as an ETH / FH architect for an established, design-oriented architectural firm with a diverse portfolio of demanding construction projects. You will take on independent project planning and execution planning of public buildings, residential developments in a historical context, as well as architecturally sophisticated infrastructure buildings. The focus is on developing high-quality architectural concepts, the constructive elaboration of designs, and the coordination of interdisciplinary planning processes. The position combines architectural design, technical precision, and independent project handling with varied tasks and close collaboration within an ambitious planning team.

Responsibilities:

• Independent handling of demanding architectural projects across various planning and execution phases according to SIA 112

• Development and further elaboration of architectural designs considering aesthetic, functional, constructive, and economic requirements

• Planning of public buildings, residential developments, and infrastructure buildings with special attention to architectural quality and project-specific conditions

• Planning construction projects in historical and urban-sensitive contexts, taking into account existing building fabric, surroundings, and design requirements

• Creation of preliminary, construction, and execution plans including floor plans, sections, elevations, and constructive detail solutions

• Development and elaboration of materialisation and construction concepts for building envelopes, facades, interiors, and project-specific components

• Coordination with clients, specialist planners, and experts to align architectural, technical, and functional requirements

• Participation in building permit applications and approval procedures including preparation of necessary planning documents and coordination with authorities

• Technical elaboration of execution planning considering buildability, detail quality, and cost-effectiveness

• Support in tendering and awarding preparations by creating technical bases, construction descriptions, and project-specific information

• Planning support during realisation including handling technical queries and coordinating execution details with project participants

• Ensuring high design and planning quality as well as compliance with relevant Swiss SIA standards, building regulations, and project standards

Qualifications:

• Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture ETH / FH or equivalent recognised higher education

• Professional experience in architectural project planning and execution planning, ideally with demanding building projects in Switzerland

• Strong architectural and design understanding and enthusiasm for developing high-quality, functional, and constructively thought-out solutions

• Solid knowledge of building construction and detail planning as well as understanding of materials, technical interfaces, and constructional contexts

• Confident use of CAD planning software and experience in creating precise project and execution documents

• Knowledge of Swiss planning and construction processes as well as relevant SIA phases, standards, and building law requirements

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form for independent project handling and communication with clients, specialist planners, and authorities
