School Library Assistant

The Baar schools consist of two secondary centres and seven individual schools at kindergarten and primary level, a supplementary school care service with five locations, and a music school. At the Baar schools, just over 400 teaching and specialist staff teach and care for over 2200 pupils. 

For the Wiesental primary school, we are looking for a School Library Assistant from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement.

The working days are mainly Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, Friday is also desirable. 

This is an hourly paid position with approximately 12 working hours per week during school terms.

• Independent lending and advice to pupils and teachers

• Stock maintenance

• Introducing school classes to the library

• Active role in reading promotion and media projects

• Collaboration on other library tasks as agreed within the department

What you bring

• Enjoyment in working with children and teachers

• Completed Bibliosuisse certificate course, willingness to complete this or comparable training

• Interest in new information technologies and children’s literature

• Friendly, proactive and independent personality

• Service-oriented attitude

• Good Office application skills

• Experience or knowledge in the educational field is desirable
