In this role, as Senior System Engineer Infrastructure, you take responsibility for the stable, secure, and high-performance operation of modern infrastructure solutions. You plan, implement, and optimise complex system landscapes and ensure their availability and scalability. You analyse disruptions, resolve problems sustainably, and drive automation and standardisation forward. With your professional level of experience, you contribute to architectural decisions and consistently implement best practices in the infrastructure environment. Furthermore, you ensure smooth operation and continuous development of the systems through clean documentation and structured procedures.
Responsibilities:
- You develop and implement future-oriented infrastructure and data centre strategies for our customers
- In this role, you actively drive innovations in the areas of servers, storage, virtualisation, and backup with solutions from HPE, VMware, and Veeam
- As Senior System Engineer Infrastructure, you establish stable, scalable, and automated platforms with high availability and security
- You continuously optimise existing IT landscapes through architecture reviews, assessments, and best practices
- In this role, you position yourself as a trusted technical contact and sparring partner for customers and internal interfaces
- As Senior System Engineer Infrastructure, you introduce new technologies, methods, and market trends and actively shape our infrastructure portfolio
Qualifications:
- You have several years of solid experience in the infrastructure and data centre environment with documented project experience
- You bring certifications and in-depth know-how in the areas of HPE, VMware, and Veeam
- You have very good practical knowledge in the Microsoft environment as well as solid Linux experience
- You are characterised by strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as a structured approach
- You act as a team player with high initiative, responsibility, and a pronounced quality standard
- You communicate very well in German and English
