Our client is an internationally active manufacturer of high-quality precision parts and supplies various demanding industrial sectors, including medical, automotive, and aeronautics. The company is based in the immediate agglomeration of Basel and stands for the highest quality, precision, and sustainable customer relationships.
As part of a planned succession arrangement, we are looking for a committed individual as sole accountant or financial accountant from May 2027. The new appointment is due to the retirement of the long-standing incumbent. You will take on a versatile and responsible role with comprehensive training by the previous incumbent. This ensures that you are optimally prepared and gradually introduced to the various areas of responsibility.

Senior Financial Accountant 80-100% - Precision in Metal. Precision in Numbers.
Your area of responsibility- Independent management of financial accounting using ABACUS
- Responsibility for accounts receivable and payable accounting as well as payment transactions
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements including reconciliation and coordination of relevant tasks
- Preparation and support of audits
- Preparation of VAT returns for Switzerland and Germany
- Management of accounting tasks for 5 other smaller companies in Switzerland
- Preparation of tax returns for the companies
- Contact person for banks, insurance companies, fiduciary partners, and internal departments
- Support with finance-related issues and further development of processes
- Commercial basic training with further education in finance and accounting or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in an independent role
- Confidence in balance sheets and financial statements according to Swiss Code of Obligations (OR)
- Experience with Abacus is an advantage but not a mandatory requirement
- Good knowledge of Swiss accounting and VAT topics
- Independent, reliable, and structured working style
- Responsible personality with enthusiasm for a versatile role
- Age: 35 - 50 years
