What is my role?

Our client is looking for you to strengthen their team as a committed personality in strategic purchasing. In this newly created position, you will establish and actively shape strategic purchasing. You will develop procurement strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and achieve measurable savings.

Your tasks:

• You establish and further develop strategic purchasing

• You define material and product groups and manage them

• You develop purchasing and supplier strategies

• You conduct price, contract, and condition negotiations

• You analyse procurement markets and find new suppliers

• You build long-term supplier relationships

• You realise cost optimisations and savings potentials

• You conduct tenders and compare offers

• You engage in project business and optimise procurement costs

• You introduce purchasing key figures

• You work closely with project management, engineering, and production

What do I need to be successful?

• Completed technical or commercial vocational training

• Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in a technical environment

• Further training in purchasing or supply chain management

• Strong negotiation skills and closing confidence

• Analytical thinking and technical understanding

• German at native level, English at least B2

• Confident handling of ERP systems and MS Office

• Entrepreneurial thinking as well as cost and quality awareness

• You are resilient and work independently and in a structured manner

• You show high initiative and implementation strength

• You are a team player and communicative

• You negotiate skilfully and can assert yourself

• You act responsibly and with integrity

• You enjoy actively shaping change
