Role:
As a Network & Security Engineer, you take responsibility for demanding network and security environments from various manufacturers. Stability, performance, and protection are at the centre of your daily work. Technical depth meets direct customer contact here, as you both advise and configure. Those who enjoy solving tricky faults and advancing security architectures will find plenty of scope for creativity in this position.
Responsibilities:
You ensure the smooth operation of firewall platforms and continuously develop them further.
You set up site-to-site and remote access connections, monitor them, and optimise the VPN configurations.
In case of faults, you proceed systematically, narrow down error sources, and quickly restore normal operation.
Furthermore, you accompany security-critical incidents and take on technical escalations.
In managed service operations, you advise customers both remotely and on-site.
You also contribute your know-how in presales topics and help design new security solutions from concept to implementation.
Qualifications:
Several years of practical experience in network and IT security form the basis of your profile.
You work confidently with platforms such as Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, or Fortinet; relevant certifications are welcome.
You are familiar with operating managed security services; experience with web security or secure web proxy is considered a plus.
Knowledge of DNS services or load balancing complements your technical range.
You have a methodical working style, ideally shaped by ITIL.
You also excel in communication with customers, explain technical matters clearly in German, and occasionally take on on-call duties.
