Cloud Engineer - Azure, M365, Active Directory (m/f/d)
Role:
In this role, you actively shape the Microsoft 365 platform and contribute to providing a powerful, secure, and future-oriented cloud environment. You take responsibility for the operation, optimisation, and lifecycle management of the M365 services, ensuring their reliable availability. You analyse and evaluate business requirements and implement them in scalable, standardised cloud solutions. You identify optimisation potentials, drive automation and standardisation, thus ensuring high platform efficiency. Additionally, you play a central role in projects around Modern Workplace and hybrid cloud integration and support stakeholders with your expertise.
Responsibilities:
- You operate and further develop our Microsoft 365 infrastructure as well as the hybrid Active Directory environment.
- In this role, you monitor your areas of responsibility and actively reduce technical vulnerabilities.
- You support the creation of technical concepts and system overviews and keep your work well documented.
- As a Cloud Engineer for the Microsoft 365 platform, you analyse technical problems and handle tickets in 2nd and 3rd level support.
- You independently carry out migrations and projects and responsibly accompany them until completion.
Qualifications:
- Completed vocational training in computer science or a comparable qualified education
- Several years of experience (at least 5 years) in highly available system environments
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft M365 (focus on collaboration) as well as ideally Entra ID, Hyper-V, System Center, and M365 backup solutions (preferably Commvault)
- Routine in using PowerShell for scripting and automation
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as good English skills
- Independent, quality- and security-conscious working style with enthusiasm for cross-team collaboration and willingness for on-call duty
