As a sanitary installer or heating engineer at the University Psychiatric Centre (UPZ) Bern, you use your technical know-how and craftsmanship to ensure the reliable operation of our systems. You maintain, repair and optimise sanitary and heating systems in our clinics, outpatient clinics and research buildings. You work in a committed team, take on responsibility and contribute daily to the reliable functioning of our infrastructure – for both employees and our patients. Your tasks
- You are responsible for repairs, installations and the proper maintenance of sanitary and heating systems in all UPZ buildings (including external locations)
- You are willing to familiarise yourself with existing systems and processes and have the desire to gradually take on responsibility for projects
- You carry out minor repairs, maintenance and installation work on sanitary and heating systems and ensure reliable operation
- You ensure the functionality, safety and preservation of value of the systems
- You support the team during service rounds, fault analysis and fault rectification on sanitary and heating systems at Bolligenstrasse as well as other UPZ properties
- You perform simple administrative tasks related to maintenance and upkeep work
- You take on on-call duty according to the deployment plan and thus contribute to trouble-free operation around the clock
- You are responsible for the external locations Murtenstasse 21, Hallerstrasse 10 and Morgenstrasse 83
Your profile
- You have completed training as a sanitary installer or heating engineer EFZ with several years of experience in the sanitary field
- You work independently and efficiently and are physically fit and resilient
- You are skilled in craftsmanship and meet the requirements of an all-rounder
- You have PC skills and actively contribute
- You hold a category B driving licence
- You have good German language skills, both spoken and written
- You enjoy and are motivated by teamwork
- You agree to an unpaid trial work on a ward
- Ideally, you have already led projects and have experience in this
