Do you want to not only administer network architectures but also shape them technically? This position offers the opportunity to further develop complex datacenter environments, deploy Cisco ACI at enterprise level and set new standards in network operations with modern automation.
Responsibilities:
Design and engineering of modern datacenter networks
Development of highly available and scalable network architectures
Technical responsibility for a Cisco ACI-based fabric
Further development of load balancing and security solutions
Planning and implementation of complex network projects
Design of secure network segments and communication architectures
Integration of datacenter networking into adjacent infrastructure platforms
Automation of provisioning and configuration processes
Use of Ansible, Git and declarative methods to standardise network operations
Development of reusable automation solutions
Creation of architecture and operational concepts
Technical documentation of complex infrastructure components
Handling demanding 3rd-level cases
Analysis of performance issues and complex network disruptions
Technical consulting on architecture and technology decisions
Active further development of the existing network platform
Qualifications:
Several years of experience as a network engineer or datacenter network engineer
Solid knowledge of Cisco enterprise or service provider technologies
Very good practical knowledge of Cisco ACI
Experience with datacenter architectures and modern network designs
Knowledge of network security and load balancing technologies
Affinity for automation, scripting and programmable networks
Experience with Ansible and Git is a plus
Interest in modern concepts such as software-defined networking and infrastructure as code
Ability to analyse complex technical requirements in a structured manner
Conceptual strength and solution-oriented thinking
Confident appearance towards technical and professional stakeholders
Very good German skills and good English skills
