I am recruiting for a recognised international group based in the canton of Fribourg a Team Leader Accounting at 100% on a permanent contract.
This opportunity is aimed at a senior accounting profile wishing to move towards greater leadership responsibilities or someone who already has initial management experience. Formal management experience is not essential if you have demonstrated your ability to coordinate, support, train or coach colleagues.
Beyond technical skills, we are looking for a unifying, approachable and team-oriented personality, capable of creating a positive dynamic while maintaining a high level of demand.
Responsibilities
Team management and support
- Lead, support and develop a team of generalist accountants
- Organise priorities and coordinate activities to ensure deadlines are met
- Provide technical support on complex accounting issues
- Participate in the skills development of colleagues through coaching and knowledge sharing
- Foster a positive and collaborative team dynamic
Accounting and closings
- Supervise the accounting activities of several entities under your responsibility
- Actively participate in monthly and annual closings
- Prepare and validate certain complex accounting entries
- Analyse results and contribute to financial reporting
- Ensure the quality and reliability of the financial data produced
Business Partnering and projects
- Be the preferred contact for various internal stakeholders on general accounting matters
- Participate in continuous improvement and process optimisation projects
- Contribute to strengthening internal control and compliance with group accounting rules
- Regularly collaborate with diverse contacts in an international environment
Candidate profile
- Federal diploma as a specialist in finance and accounting or equivalent training
- Proven experience in general accounting
- Experience gained within an international group, an industrial environment or a firm with exposure to complex clients
- Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting standards and ideally IFRS
- Professional level English B2
- Very good command of Excel and an ERP (SAP is an asset)
