As part of a maternity leave replacement within the Human Resources department of our operational unit in Geneva, we are looking for a:
Human Resources Assistant
9-month part-time contract (60% to 80%)
The HR Assistant's main mission will be to manage the administrative tasks of the service, while contributing to the various activities of the department. He/she will provide support for a population of approximately 170 employees.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Carry out administrative procedures related to cantonal and airport authorities (AVS application, work permits, family allowances, airport badge, etc.).
- Manage hiring files and ensure the updating of personnel data in HR information systems.
- Prepare various HR documents (employment contracts, amendments, work certificates, etc.).
- Ensure the monitoring and recording of absences (illness, accident, etc.).
- Report accidents to our insurance company.
- Check daily allowance statements from social insurances.
- Enter certain payroll variables.
- Organise the delivery of work equipment to new employees and ensure follow-up.
- Manage requests for parking and public transport subscriptions.
- Handle the reception and processing of mail.
- Provide operational support to the HR team within the framework of the department's various activities.
Required qualifications:
Training :
- HR Assistant certificate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of legal basics (social insurances, salary, Ltr).
Professional experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Switzerland as an HR Assistant or Manager.
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Comfortable with IT systems (HRIS).
Language and communication skills:
- Fluency in French and excellent writing skills.
- English proficiency is an advantage.
About the position:
- Part-time (to be defined between 60 and 80%).
- Fixed-term contract.
- Duration: from 1 December 2026 to 31 August 2027.
- The appointment is subject to prior criminal background checks.
