Role:

Modern cloud platforms do not come about by chance. They require clear architectural decisions and clean automation. As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you shape the transformation of on-premises landscapes into Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure, setting technical standards. You view identity, security, and network as a holistic system. Your expertise shapes architectures, standards, and the further development of the entire platform.

Responsibilities:

• You design Azure Landing Zones and define the structures for subscriptions, resources, and governance.

• Reusable Bicep modules and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) form the basis of your deployments. You automate complex processes using PowerShell and APIs.

• You design hybrid network architectures with private endpoints, DNS, and VPN, and integrate them together with network specialists into the existing firewall landscape.

• You are responsible for complex migration projects and technically advance existing Azure environments in the areas of architecture, automation, and cost.

• Furthermore, you design access concepts with Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Enterprise Applications and expand endpoint management with Intune.

• Additionally, you analyse tricky faults across multiple technical layers and test new cloud and AI technologies in your own proof of concepts.

Qualifications:

• You have at least five years of experience in designing and engineering Microsoft cloud environments.

• You have successfully accompanied transformations from on-premises infrastructures to the cloud multiple times.

• You work confidently and efficiently with Bicep, modular deployment structures, and sophisticated PowerShell scripts.

• Moreover, you master identity topics such as RBAC, MFA, and app registrations as well as device compliance and endpoint security.

• Network concepts such as VNets, peering, routing, and private DNS are familiar to you. Experience with Fortinet solutions is a plus.

• You also implement zero-trust principles technically and derive well-founded architectural decisions from complex dependencies. Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Security Engineer Associate are welcome.
