Offensive Security Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
You don’t just want to manage alerts but actively improve detection and defence? As an Offensive Security Engineer, you advance SIEM platforms and SOC processes technically. You work both internally and directly on customer projects. Those interested in the attacker side get the chance to conduct their own penetration tests depending on their expertise. Curiosity and a tinkering spirit pay off here directly.
Responsibilities:
You automate processes in the Security Operations Center (SOC) and optimise existing detection rules.
You support customers as a technical contact person for all cybersecurity questions.
You specifically develop the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) landscape internally and for customers.
Furthermore, you test systems and applications for vulnerabilities, provided your level of knowledge allows it.
You help shape new services and products and contribute your experience from projects.
Additionally, you pass on your know-how to colleagues and monitor current trends in the threat landscape.
Qualifications:
You have practical experience in IT security engineering.
You have already configured, extended, or operated platforms such as Splunk or Elastic Security.
You already hold a security certificate such as CISA, OSCP, CEH, or CISSP.
Ideally, you have hardened Windows and Linux environments and set up Linux systems professionally or privately.
Furthermore, initial experience in penetration testing is a clear advantage.
You also tackle ambitious goals with enthusiasm, approach people openly, and switch effortlessly between German and English. Additional languages are welcome.
