Security Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
As a Security Engineer, you take on a central role in ensuring and further developing information security. You protect business-critical systems and sensitive data, operate modern security solutions, and support the organisation in implementing security and compliance requirements.
In doing so, you work closely with internal departments and IT teams, analyse security risks, develop protective measures, and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the cybersecurity landscape.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, monitor, and create security concepts, components, and decision bases
Implement governance requirements technically
Support the ICT team with security questions
Resolve incidents and handle service requests
Operate identity & access management
Evaluate security technology trends
Support BCM/DR planning
Maintain system documentation
Qualifications:
You have completed training as an IT specialist EFZ platform development or have completed technical training with further education in the ICT/security field
A higher education (HF, FH) and/or specific further training (e.g. CAS/MAS information security, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are advantageous
You have sound knowledge of core security technologies such as firewall (Sophos), PAM (BeyondTrust), CASB, NAC, EDR/XDR, SIEM/SOC (Microsoft Defender), email security, vulnerability management, backup & recovery security, PKI and certificate management
You are resilient in crisis situations and characterised by a high degree of integrity and trustworthiness
You demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and initiative
