Head of Finance 80 - 100% (m/f/d)
Role:
For our ROCKEN partner, an insurance cooperative based in Zurich, we are looking for an innovative leader for the Head of Finance position. You will take overall responsibility for finance and accounting and make a decisive contribution to the successful management of the company. With your expertise, you ensure regulatory reporting, develop meaningful analyses, and support management as a competent sparring partner on financial and strategic issues.
Responsibilities:
You lead the finance team of 2 employees both professionally and personally and further develop it
You ensure quarterly and annual financial statements according to OR and Swiss GAAP FER including management reports
You prepare financial reporting including cost accounting and key figures (management accounting)
You prepare regulatory reports (including EHP data submissions, SST, Public Disclosure)
You are responsible for budgeting, forecasts, liquidity planning, and rolling financial planning
You monitor assets and ensure tied assets
You are responsible for liquidity management
You manage investment properties together with the external property management
You are responsible for tax matters and act as the contact person for tax authorities
You participate in payroll processing
Qualifications:
You hold the Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence in finance and accounting or an equivalent higher qualification
You have at least 5 years of professional experience in finance and accounting in an SME, ideally with leadership or management responsibility
You possess solid knowledge in accounting, controlling, regulatory reporting, and liquidity management
You demonstrate a strong affinity for numbers and a precise, structured, and reliable working style
You have pronounced analytical skills and the ability to reduce complex issues to the essentials
You think entrepreneurially and advise management competently and solution-oriented
You show high IT affinity and very good knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially Excel; experience with Abacus, Winsure, Qlik, and GRC tools is an advantage
You communicate fluently in German, both spoken and written; additional language skills are welcome
