ERP Application Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
Business-critical ERP systems are particularly exciting when technology, data and processes interlock. We are looking for a technically skilled individual who manages complex business applications, understands interfaces and plays a central role in the further development of the digital system landscape.
Responsibilities:
Technical responsibility for a central ERP platform and its integrated system landscape
Further development of ERP functions, business processes and cross-system interfaces
Analysis of existing workflows and identification of potential for automation, standardisation and digitalisation
Translation of business requirements into robust technical solutions
Design and implementation of system extensions and new digital services
Participation in a comprehensive ERP transformation including release changes, modernisation and data migration
Analysis and optimisation of data structures within a PostgreSQL-based system landscape
Automation of recurring processes with Bash, Python or comparable technologies
Creation of data analyses and technical evaluations for operational and strategic questions
Support of invoicing and billing processes with a focus on data quality and process reliability
Assistance to users with complex technical and process-related issues
Design and delivery of training for different user groups
Coordination of changes and technical adjustments throughout the entire application lifecycle
Contribution to the introduction of modern technologies such as AI-supported automation and intelligent data analysis
Qualifications:
Education or degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable technical practical experience
Several years of experience in supporting or further developing ERP or business applications
Very good technical understanding of Linux-based systems
Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL
Confident handling of Bash and ideally practical experience with Python
Experience with interfaces, data flows and integrated application landscapes
Understanding of business processes and their technical representation in ERP systems
Experience with project, change or transformation initiatives
Analytical thinking and a pronounced understanding of complex interrelationships
Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
Interest in modern topics such as automation, data analytics and AI
