GPU workloads place different demands on a platform than classic server landscapes. As an AI Platform Engineer, you build scalable infrastructure services specifically designed for this. You operate Kubernetes-based platforms for model inference and keep powerful HPC clusters stable in operation. Data science teams receive from you the environments with which they can work productively. Technical depth and personal responsibility characterise this position.
Responsibilities:
You design scalable infrastructure services for AI workloads and continuously develop them further.
You operate enterprise platforms for model inference on container orchestration including deployment automation.
Furthermore, you are responsible for high-performance computing clusters with bare-metal and virtualised GPU servers.
You analyse complex faults across the entire stack, from hardware to application layer.
Additionally, you provision environments for data science teams.
You also undertake critical infrastructure tasks and participate in occasional on-call duties.
Qualifications:
You have a university or university of applied sciences degree in computer science.
Several years of experience in system administration distinguish you, with at least 3 years focused on Linux (preferably RHEL).
You confidently automate with Python, Ansible and shell scripting.
Solid knowledge of GPU topologies and architectures such as NVLink or PCIe switching is part of your profile, complemented by Terraform and GitOps deployments.
Furthermore, you have initial practical experience in monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana including GPU metrics.
In addition, you work according to ITIL principles, prioritise confidently and communicate fluently in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
