We are looking for the social cohesion service
A 60% Home Social Support Worker within the Seniors Delegation (1-year fixed-term contract)
As part of its mission to combat exclusion and hardship among seniors and under the supervision of a team dedicated to the social follow-up of this population, you will actively participate in implementing an innovative support and isolation prevention scheme.
Your mission
- Conduct companionship visits by offering a space for active listening and a caring presence
- Support seniors in carrying out daily activities (accompanying them to shopping or medical appointments, providing various practical assistance, completing simple administrative procedures)
- Report on interventions carried out and observations made to team members
- Collaborate with the health-social network and the beneficiaries’ relatives
- Write reports in the social journal and participate in team meetings
- Perform administrative tasks assigned by the social workers of the delegation
Your profile
- Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a socio-educational assistant or equivalent training
- Experience or strong interest in the senior population
- Good knowledge of the Geneva social network
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit
- Listening and analytical skills
- Category B driving licence
