Construction Manager Building Construction (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Construction Manager Building Construction / Public Buildings & Renovation for the realisation of larger construction projects in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. You will take on the operational construction management and coordinate all involved contractors, specialist planners and authorities during the execution phase. A particular focus is on demanding conversion, renewal and renovation projects as well as public construction projects. You will ensure professional execution regarding costs, deadlines, quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Independent construction management of larger building construction projects in the German-speaking part of Switzerland

• Coordination and leadership of all contractors and trades involved in the construction

• Organisation and monitoring of construction site processes and execution deadlines

• Responsibility for quality, costs and deadlines during the realisation phase

• Conducting and recording of construction and coordination meetings

• Collaboration with architects, specialist engineers, authorities and clients

• Review of execution documents, contractor services and workshop plans

• Carrying out measurement, invoicing and supplementary controls

• Support of conversion, renovation and renewal measures in existing buildings

• Monitoring compliance with quality, safety and execution requirements

• Organisation of acceptances, defect management and follow-up inspections

• Maintenance of construction administration, cost control and project documentation

Qualifications:

• Training as certified construction manager, certified technician HF construction planning architecture, FH architect or comparable qualification

• Several years of professional experience in construction management of demanding building construction projects

• Experience with public buildings, conversions and renovation projects is an advantage

• Sound knowledge of Swiss construction practice as well as relevant SIA standards, BKP and NPK structures

• Experience in cost control, measurement, supplementary claims and construction administration

• Confident handling of industry-standard construction administration and office software

• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
