Role:
You don’t think of cloud in individual resources but in sustainable platforms. As a Cloud Platform Engineer (Senior), you are responsible for the technical development of a Microsoft Azure environment and set standards that others follow. Automation is not an add-on for you but a fundamental principle. When things get critical, you keep an overview and lead technically through complex situations.
Responsibilities:
You design scalable and highly available Azure architectures for compute, storage, networking, and central platform services.
You design identity and access architectures with Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, and app registrations from the ground up.
Additionally, you automate provisioning and configuration with PowerShell, Terraform, and other infrastructure-as-code approaches.
You define logging concepts with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics and design disaster recovery architectures for business-critical systems.
You evaluate new Microsoft cloud technologies in your own proof of concepts and advance Windows 365 as well as virtual desktop solutions.
Furthermore, you continuously optimise the entire landscape regarding costs, architecture, and degree of automation.
Qualifications:
You have many years of experience engineering demanding Azure and Microsoft infrastructures.
You are confident with virtual networks, routing, and private endpoints and have excellent knowledge of network security.
You have already implemented landing zones, resource structures, and cloud governance in practice.
In addition, you bring solid knowledge of Windows Server and hybrid scenarios.
Observability, high availability, and recovery concepts are familiar territory for you.
You also make architectural decisions based on a clear analysis of dependencies across identity, security, and Microsoft 365.
