For our client, an established Swiss service company in a demanding and security-critical environment, we are looking for an experienced Senior System Engineer Microsoft Infrastructure. You can expect a technically challenging enterprise environment where stability, security, and sustainable architectural decisions play a central role.
You will take responsibility from engineering and architecture through changes and migrations to 3rd-level troubleshooting. You will work hands-on, drive technical standards forward, and actively shape the further development of a modern Microsoft infrastructure.

You will take responsibility from engineering and architecture through changes and migrations to 3rd-level troubleshooting. You will work hands-on, drive technical standards forward, and actively shape the further development of a modern Microsoft infrastructure.
Your Tasks
- Engineering, operation, and continuous development of complex Microsoft-based enterprise infrastructures
- Technical responsibility for Windows Server, Microsoft 365, as well as Identity & Access Management
- Planning and technical management of changes, migrations, and infrastructure modernisations
- Analysis of complex and cross-system faults at 3rd level including root cause analysis and sustainable error correction
- Evaluation of new technologies and assessment regarding security, benefits, risks, dependencies, and integration effort
- Automation and standardisation of recurring processes with PowerShell and modern DevOps tools
- Creation and further development of solution concepts, system architectures, decision bases, and operational documentation
- Technical responsibility for work packages in projects and subprojects – from conception and implementation through testing to handover to operations
- Co-design of technical standards, security requirements, operating models, and lifecycle decisions
- Collaboration with internal specialist departments, external partners, and manufacturers
Our Requirements
- Completed training as an IT specialist EFZ or a comparable technical qualification
- At least seven years of professional experience in demanding enterprise IT environments
- Several years of experience in a technically responsible system engineering role
- Solid practical knowledge in several of the following technologies:
- Windows Server
- Microsoft 365
- Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
- VMware
- ADFS and DNS
- Experience with Identity & Access Management as well as Microsoft-based infrastructure architectures
- Good knowledge of PowerShell and experience with GitLab or comparable tools
- Experience with update and patch management solutions such as Ivanti and monitoring systems like PRTG or comparable technologies
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience with IT service management tools
- Strong security mindset and understanding of the secure operation of business-critical infrastructures
- Ability to analyse complex technical contexts, represent decisions confidently, and communicate clearly
- Independent, structured, and responsible working style
- Very good German skills as well as good English skills
