Development Engineer Automation (m/f/d)
Our partner is a family-run company headquartered in Switzerland and market leader for automated personal and goods protection on busy railways in Europe. Railway automation and highly available radio systems complement the product range and market segments.
The company employs about 210 people and operates in several countries with locations in Switzerland, Germany, England, Italy, Austria and Spain - as well as sales partners in Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Chile, Poland, France, Portugal and Morocco, carefully selecting its partners to responsibly fulfil its safety-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
You develop modern control solutions and electronic components up to series maturity.
You program PLC systems and implement international requirements for system functionality.
You plan and conduct system tests, EMC tests and validations on laboratory and customer systems.
You create technical safety evidence and accompany approval processes with the corresponding documentation.
You work closely with product management, production and purchasing and support customers on site if required.
Qualifications:
You have a completed engineering degree in automation technology, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable field.
You bring experience in electronics development as well as PLC programming; knowledge of VHDL, CPLD or FPGA is an advantage.
You are familiar with functional safety, EMC and electrical testing techniques.
You work confidently with laboratory measuring technology and have practical experience in plant or control cabinet technology.
You communicate fluently in German and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
