System Engineer Infrastructure & Cloud Services (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF115,000 - 130,000Role:
Stable IT systems are not a coincidence for you, but the result of thoughtful architecture, clean implementation and continuous optimisation? You don’t just want to manage servers, networks and cloud services, but actively develop them further and sustainably implement technical improvements? In this role, you take care of a powerful IT infrastructure, accompany demanding technical projects and ensure that the systems remain reliable, secure and future-proof.
Responsibilities:
Manage system landscapes: You administer and further develop server, virtualisation and cloud environments and ensure stable and efficient operation.
Implement cloud and infrastructure projects: You plan and implement migrations, system expansions and modernisations and accompany these until successful handover to operations.
Ensure availability: You monitor the infrastructure, analyse faults and performance issues and derive appropriate measures to improve stability and resilience.
Responsible for security and lifecycle: You take care of updates, patches, backup and recovery concepts as well as permissions and consistently implement technical security requirements.
Improve operational processes: You document systems and configurations, automate recurring tasks and develop standards for efficient and comprehensible IT operations.
Qualifications:
You have completed training in the field of computer science or have a comparable practical qualification with several years of experience in system engineering.
You bring sound knowledge of Windows Server, virtualisation, network basics, backup and cloud technologies. Experience with Azure or Microsoft 365 is a plus.
You understand the interrelationships between infrastructure components and can reliably assess technical dependencies and potential risks.
You work analytically, carefully and independently and approach technical challenges pragmatically and solution-oriented.
You are team-oriented, communicate clearly and enjoy sharing your knowledge and engaging with new technologies.
Your perspective: You actively shape the technical foundation of modern IT services and work on varied infrastructure projects. In doing so, you combine operational engineering with conceptual further development and can deepen your expertise purposefully.
