Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a qualified professional for the development, planning and realisation of versatile architectural and building projects in an established Swiss architectural environment. You will manage demanding new build, conversion and renovation projects across all relevant SIA project phases and take on independent tasks from architectural conception to construction implementation. The focus is on design and project work, CAD-supported planning with Archicad, constructive detail development as well as coordination with specialist planners and clients. The position combines architectural design, technical planning and construction supervision with diverse projects and long-term professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Independent handling of architectural and building projects across all relevant SIA phases from preliminary study to realisation

• Development and elaboration of architectural concepts, designs and project studies for new build, conversion and renovation projects

• Creation of preliminary project, construction project, approval and execution plans with Archicad

• Development and review of constructive detail solutions considering building construction, materialisation and technical feasibility

• Participation in feasibility studies, variant comparisons and project developments including architectural and economic assessments

• Preparation of building permit documents and coordination of approval procedures in compliance with applicable cantonal building regulations

• Coordination and alignment with clients, authorities, specialist planners and contractors during planning and realisation

• Review and integration of specialist planner documents from structural engineering, building services and other disciplines

• Creation of project presentations, visualisations and planning documentation with Adobe Creative Cloud and Archicad

• Participation in tenders, cost estimates and scheduling as well as support of project management in project controlling

• Quality assurance of planning and execution documents regarding SIA standards, building regulations and project-specific requirements

• Technical supervision of construction execution including site inspections, execution clarifications and plan adjustments in cooperation with site management

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies ETH/FH (Bachelor or Master) or comparable recognised university degree

• Professional experience in architectural planning and project design, ideally across several SIA project phases

• Sound knowledge in architectural design, building construction, detail planning and execution planning

• Very good user skills in Archicad as well as confident handling of Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office

• Knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, building regulations and approval procedures, preferably with project experience in the Basel region

• Experience in coordinating specialist planners as well as in preparing construction project and building permit documents

• Fluent German skills in spoken and written form for project documents, technical documentation and coordination with project participants
