Senior Cloud Systems Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
As a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer, you design modern private and hybrid cloud platforms from the initial sketch to stable operation. You take on the technical leadership in demanding enterprise projects and bring your experience with hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI). Direct interaction with customers and technology partners shapes your daily work. Those who love software-defined infrastructure and seek responsibility will find plenty of scope for creativity here.
Responsibilities:
You design hyperconverged infrastructures with software-defined compute, storage, and networking, from automated private cloud to hybrid cloud.
You technically lead cloud projects throughout the entire lifecycle, from analysis through design and implementation to operation.
You coordinate closely with customers and develop solutions that fit their business requirements.
Furthermore, you maintain professional exchange with leading technology manufacturers and further develop the solution portfolio.
In addition, you evaluate new technologies and thus influence the strategic direction.
You also provide technical support to sales and act as a sparring partner for customers and the sales team.
Qualifications:
You have a higher professional education in computer science (HF/FH) or a comparable qualification.
You have several years of practical experience in designing and operating private cloud infrastructures.
You have a solid command of compute, storage, virtualisation, and networking, including common hypervisor technologies such as VMware ESXi, KVM, or Hyper-V.
You are experienced with software-defined infrastructure as well as backup and data protection solutions.
You also have an interest in container platforms such as Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
Additionally, you communicate confidently in German and English, both orally and in writing, and knowledge of automation and infrastructure as code (such as Terraform or Ansible) completes your profile.
