Role:
In this role, you use your several years of experience as a system engineer in Microsoft on-premises environments to ensure far more than just stable operation. You take technical responsibility for the Microsoft on-premises platform as well as the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment and contribute to their further development with a focus on high service quality and customer satisfaction. You lead technical projects from conception to regular operation, analyse complex faults in 2nd and 3rd level support, and work closely with network and security teams to create sustainable solutions. You actively shape standards, drive automation and standardisation, and ensure stable and efficient operation with reproducible processes. As a technical key figure in IT services, you advance topics in a well-founded, quality-oriented manner with a holistic architectural understanding and actively share your knowledge within the team.
Responsibilities:
- You design, implement, and further develop sophisticated Microsoft on-premises solutions
- In this role, you operate and optimise the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops platform including ADC throughout the entire lifecycle
- As lead system engineer for Microsoft and Citrix platforms, you lead technical projects from migration through modernisation to going live
- You analyse complex faults in 2nd and 3rd level support and resolve them sustainably
- In this role, you drive automation and standardisation with PowerShell and configuration management
- You define and document standards, solutions, and efficient operational processes in close collaboration with network, security, and smart workplace teams
Qualifications:
- Completed IT training EFZ or equivalent; further education at HF or FH level is an advantage
- Several years of experience as a system engineer in Microsoft on-premises environments with very good knowledge of Windows domain infrastructure, servers, and Active Directory
- In-depth experience in operating and administering Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops as well as ADC
- Know-how in identity and privileged access management (IAM, PAM) as well as working according to ITIL processes (incident, problem, change)
- Strong service orientation, high independence, and personal responsibility in dealing with internal and external customers
- Very good German skills (native or business fluent), ideally complemented by English skills, as well as high integrity and an impeccable reputation
