Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced individual for the development, design and planning of demanding architectural and building projects in an innovative, internationally oriented architectural environment. You will take responsibility for architectural designs, feasibility studies, competitions and project development from the initial concept idea to the building application. The focus is on high-quality architecture, sustainable building concepts, digital planning and BIM-supported project processing. The position offers the opportunity to help shape diverse construction projects and actively accompany the further development of a burgeoning architectural location.

Responsibilities:

• Independent handling and management of architectural projects in the areas of design, preliminary project and construction project according to SIA phases

• Development of demanding architectural concepts considering design, functionality, cost-effectiveness and sustainability

• Preparation of feasibility studies, project studies and variant analyses for various building projects

• Conceptualisation and elaboration of architectural competitions including design, visualisation and presentation materials

• Project development and CAD planning with Archicad as well as creation of 3D models and BIM-based planning documents

• Preparation and coordination of preliminary project, construction project and building application documents in compliance with applicable building regulations

• Coordination and collaboration with specialist planners, experts, authorities and other project participants

• Preparation and conduct of client meetings, project presentations and design discussions

• Support of building permit procedures including clarifications on building law, land use planning and official requirements

• Integration of sustainable construction methods, energy-efficient concepts and material-appropriate construction solutions into project development

• Project controlling and quality assurance regarding design, planning deadlines, project requirements and cost framework

• Participation in the strategic and professional development of the architectural location as well as in the optimisation of digital planning processes

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH or equivalent recognised qualification

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Switzerland with a focus on architectural design, project development and building planning

• Solid knowledge in design, feasibility studies, architectural competitions and planning of demanding construction projects

• Excellent Archicad skills as well as experience with 3D modelling and BIM, knowledge of Revit and Rhino is an advantage

• Knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, building legislation and building permit procedures, especially in the canton of Zurich

• Expertise in sustainable architecture, building construction, materialisation and energy-efficient building planning

• German at native level, French skills are an advantage
