You don’t just want to keep systems running but create technical solutions that convince in the long term? In this role, you take on a central position in building, operating, and further developing a high-performance IT environment. From the server landscape to cloud services, networks, and security concepts, you will encounter a versatile technical environment where your expertise is in demand and you can contribute your own solutions.
Responsibilities:
You ensure a stable IT system landscape, administer physical and virtual servers, and guarantee the smooth operation of Microsoft services as well as SQL database environments.
You investigate complex system errors, take on demanding tasks in 3rd-level support, and improve availability through proactive monitoring, regular maintenance, and targeted updates.
You help shape the further development of the network and cloud architecture, working with Proxmox, Google Cloud Platform, firewalls, load balancers, and routing configurations, among others.
You continuously develop the security architecture, manage internal certification authorities, and ensure reliable handling of SSL/TLS certificates and technical standards.
You document complex systems and operational processes, implement optimisation measures, and take on duties within the IT on-call service, including deployments outside regular working hours and occasional work at holiday locations.
Qualifications:
You have completed training or further education in computer science, for example with EFZ, HF, FH, or a comparable qualification, and have at least five years of relevant professional experience.
You are well versed in server infrastructures, virtualisation, and Microsoft environments. Knowledge of Proxmox, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft SQL is advantageous.
You have experience in networks, cloud, and IT security and ideally bring knowledge of GCP, firewall technologies, load balancing, routing, and certificate management.
You think in networks, work in a structured manner, and find practical solutions even for demanding technical problems. You enjoy questioning processes and sustainably improving systems.
You communicate effortlessly in German and English, appreciate teamwork, and are ready to continuously expand your knowledge. Additional certifications or programming experience are a plus.
