Do you want to not only operate demanding IT environments but also take them to the next technical level? In this role, you combine deep infrastructure knowledge with strategic thinking and design powerful, secure, and scalable IT system landscapes. An exciting task for personalities who take responsibility and solve technical challenges sustainably.
Responsibilities:
Technical responsibility for the stable and secure operation of a complex IT system landscape
Analysis and optimisation of existing infrastructure architectures regarding availability, performance, and scalability
Engineering and further development of server platforms under Windows and Linux
Design and support of network, firewall, storage, and virtualisation solutions
Further development of Microsoft 365 services as well as central identity and access management solutions with Entra ID
Implementation of security concepts, system hardening, and technical operating standards
Automation of recurring tasks with scripting and modern infrastructure-as-code approaches
Leadership or technical support of infrastructure migrations and modernisation projects
Support in complex incidents as well as sustainable root cause analysis following the root-cause-analysis principle
Technical consulting on architectural decisions and the introduction of new technologies
Qualifications:
Completed training in computer science EFZ or comparable qualification with solid practical experience
Several years of experience in operating and further developing demanding IT infrastructures
Very good knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and Microsoft 365 technologies
Practical experience with Entra ID, networks, firewalls, storage, and virtualisation
Understanding of IT security, high availability, backup strategies, and recovery concepts
Interest in infrastructure as code, PowerShell, Bash, or comparable automation technologies
Strong skills in fault analysis, structured troubleshooting, and technical documentation
Independent, precise, and solution-oriented working style even with high complexity
Enjoyment of technical innovations, knowledge transfer, and continuous system improvement
