Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a qualified professional for architectural planning and project development of demanding conversion and renovation projects in a dynamic, growing architectural environment. You will accompany diverse construction projects through all SIA planning phases and take on tasks from condition analysis and concept development to execution planning and construction implementation. The focus is on architectural design, constructive detail development, CAD planning, as well as the technical and building law processing of existing buildings. The position offers long-term development opportunities, close collaboration with management, and flexible working conditions with the possibility of home office.

Responsibilities:

• Architectural planning and project development for demanding conversion, renovation, and change-of-use projects in Swiss building construction

• Project processing according to SIA phases from strategic planning and preliminary study through design and building permit to execution planning and realisation

• Condition analyses and feasibility studies with assessment of existing building structures, construction potentials, and technical framework conditions

• Design and concept development with preparation of floor plan variants, usage concepts, and architectural solutions for existing buildings

• CAD planning and digital project processing with creation of floor plans, sections, facades, project plans, and three-dimensional architectural models

• Building application and permit planning including preparation of submission documents, building law clarifications, and coordination with responsible authorities

• Working and execution planning with development of precise plan documents for conversions, renovations, and constructive interventions in the existing building fabric

• Constructive detail development with planning of component connections, building envelopes, material transitions, and technically demanding conversion connections

• Materialisation and building-technical optimisation with development of functional, economical, and aesthetically high-quality execution solutions

• Coordination with specialist planners and construction companies with alignment of structural planning, building services, and other technical interfaces

• Support in tendering and realisation with preparation of technical planning bases, checking of execution details, and accompaniment of construction implementation

• Project organisation and quality assurance with coordination of planning statuses, technical clarifications, and project-specific requirements in close cooperation with management

Qualifications:

• Completed education in architecture, preferably a degree from a university of applied sciences/ETH or a comparable recognised qualification

• Professional experience in the Swiss architecture and construction industry, ideally with a focus on conversion, renovation, or building in existing structures

• Sound knowledge of building construction and constructive detail planning, especially for interventions in existing building structures

• Good CAD user skills in common architectural software such as ArchiCAD, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, or Revit

• Knowledge of the Swiss SIA planning phases and building law basics as well as experience in preparing building application and execution documents

• Expertise in condition analysis, design planning, and materialisation as well as in the technical coordination of conversion projects

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form for project documents, technical clarifications, and communication with project participants
