Role:
In this role, you take responsibility for the reliable operation and monitoring of complex IT systems and infrastructures. You analyse faults, independently resolve incidents and ensure high system availability through continuous monitoring. You also plan and accompany changes, perform updates and patches, and ensure clean documentation of the system landscape. You work closely with other IT departments to ensure smooth processes and implement optimisations in system operations. Through your experience, you contribute significantly to keeping IT services stable, performant and secure.
Responsibilities:
- You administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers including Active Directory, Exchange, file servers and backup systems.
- In this role, you monitor, analyse and optimise the network landscape with switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, WLAN and VLAN.
- You support employees in 1st and 2nd level support and reliably resolve technical enquiries.
- As an IT system operations specialist, you independently create documentation for support processes and practical instructions.
- You implement IT security policies, are responsible for patch management, antivirus/EDR and user rights administration.
- In this role, you actively participate in IT infrastructure projects and deputise for the IT manager.
Qualifications:
- Completed training as an IT specialist EFZ specialising in system technology with 3-5 years of professional experience in a comparable role
- Very good knowledge of Azure Cloud, MS365, Windows Server, directory services, networks and virtualisation with Hyper-V
- Experience with network environments (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN) as well as experience with common backup systems
- Confident handling of the configuration of various devices in productive IT environments
- Working style characterised by independence, structure and high reliability
- Good communication skills in German and English, both spoken and written
