Role:
You do not see infrastructure in silos but as an interconnected system of cloud, identity, and workplace. This is exactly the mindset you need as a Microsoft Azure Engineer. You significantly shape the engineering, operation, and further development of a Microsoft Azure environment. Instead of just processing tickets, you make technical decisions with tangible impact. You replace manual tasks with code, and stability arises from clean architecture.
Responsibilities:
You build monitoring, alerting, and logging to ensure a performant and highly available platform.
You configure roles, app registrations, and enterprise applications in Entra ID according to clear security guidelines.
You develop cloud components and operational processes further with PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
You provide modern workplaces with Windows 365, Microsoft Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
Additionally, you administer the Windows Server platform, subnets, and network security groups and manage backup and recovery solutions.
You also drive migrations, changes, and cost optimisations forward and thoroughly investigate disruptions.
Qualifications:
You have at least 3 years of practical experience in engineering around cloud and Windows Server.
You are confident navigating between IaaS and PaaS services such as virtual machines, storage, and private networking.
You understand identity concepts like RBAC and are well acquainted with Entra ID and Microsoft client infrastructures.
You prefer to describe infrastructure as code, for example with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
Furthermore, you are familiar with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, as well as recovery and business continuity concepts.
You also bring a solid understanding of routing, VPN, DNS, firewalls, and hybrid connections and analytically dissect complex error patterns across system boundaries.
