Open-source platforms, containers, and cloud resources united in one role – that is your playground. You operate Linux- and Docker-based environments and develop them technologically further. You consistently expand automated deployments and CI/CD processes. At the same time, you keep classic server and virtualisation topics under control. Security and operational stability are your guiding principles throughout.
Responsibilities:
You operate and develop Linux- and Docker-based platforms including basic services such as web servers, DNS, certificates, databases, and backups
You are responsible for the technical operation, further development, and support of web and specialist applications including updates, plugins, and SAML integrations
You expand automated build, test, and deployment processes with Docker and CI/CD tools and contribute to the platform architecture
You improve security and operational stability through login, SSO, permissions, patching, as well as backup and recovery solutions
You operate server and virtualisation environments including Windows and Linux servers, VMware, Citrix, and storage solutions
Additionally, you manage cloud resources and hybrid environments and coordinate patch, update, and security measures
Qualifications:
You have a degree in computer science with a focus on software engineering and DevOps experience or a comparable qualification
You bring at least 5 years of experience with LAMP web servers, DNS, TLS certificates, load balancing, clustering, databases, and backups
You are very familiar with Linux and Docker and have experience with automated deployments and CI/CD
You understand IT security, SSO, identity management, and permission concepts
You have solid knowledge of Windows Server, virtualisation, or Microsoft cloud services
Experience with Kubernetes, monitoring, logging, or zero-trust approaches is an advantage; you have very good German and English skills
