You work as an infrastructure specialist for server & network at the interface between internal IT and customer projects with technical control systems. Systems that run reliably for many years are what count here. Short-lived trends are not the focus. With Windows Server and Active Directory (AD), you create uniform foundations on which projects and operations can rely. Variety comes from switching between conceptual work, fault analysis, and on-site assignments.
Responsibilities:
You build ICT environments for customer projects in the field of system control and infrastructure and bring them into operation according to uniform standards.
You also maintain the internal IT landscape and develop it step by step.
You analyse complex faults at 2nd and 3rd level, adhering to clear responsibilities and escalation paths.
Furthermore, you conceptually help design solutions for server, network, security, backup, and virtualisation.
Your colleagues gladly turn to you with tricky technical questions in projects.
You also make existing systems more robust and document changes comprehensibly for long-term operation.
Qualifications:
You have completed an apprenticeship as an IT specialist EFZ or have an equivalent technical education.
You are confident in the Microsoft on-premises world, for example in server operation, directory services, virtualisation, or data backup.
You accurately understand extensive technical texts and draw the right conclusions from them.
You express yourself confidently in German both orally and in writing. You understand English manuals and datasheets without difficulty.
Precision is important to you, and you approach tasks methodically with a keen eye for detail.
Additionally, you hold a category B driving licence and are happy to take on planned assignments at customers’ sites.
