Project Manager Building Construction (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF125,000 - 130,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager Building Construction / Client Representation (80-100%) to manage demanding new build and renovation projects in the public sector. You represent the interests of the client throughout all project phases and are responsible for the consistent management of costs, deadlines, quality and project objectives. You lead interdisciplinary project teams, coordinate the requirements of users and operations, and oversee competitions, planner procurement and tender procedures. The position offers long-term responsibility for significant public building construction projects with investment volumes in the double-digit million range.
Responsibilities:
Assuming the role of client representative for demanding new build, conversion and renovation projects
Managing construction projects through all relevant SIA phases from project definition to handover
Responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality, risks and project objectives
Leading and coordinating interdisciplinary project and planning teams
Coordinating the requirements of users, operations, ownership and other stakeholders
Preparing and conducting architectural competitions and planner procurements
Supporting tender and award procedures according to public procurement law
Managing planners, specialists, companies and external project partners
Preparing project reports, decision bases, credit applications and project reporting
Leading structured project controlling and preparing relevant key figures for decision-makers
Contributing to the investment and multi-year planning of the real estate portfolio
Developing project standards, processes and quality requirements in the building construction sector
Qualifications:
Tertiary degree in architecture, civil engineering or construction planning at FH, ETH or HF level or comparable technical qualification
Several years of professional experience in client representation or overall project management of large building construction projects
Sound knowledge of construction project management, cost management and contract law
Experience with the Swiss SIA phases and planning processes
Knowledge of public procurement and tender procedures is an advantage
Experience with complex new build and renovation projects, ideally in the public sector
Very good German language skills spoken and written
