Role:
In this role, you will take on the further development of cyber and data security in complex IT environments and ensure sustainable risk reduction through well-thought-out protective measures. You are responsible for the design and implementation of security architectures, conduct security audits, vulnerability scans, and risk analyses, and derive concrete measures from these. Additionally, you operate, harden, and optimise central IT infrastructures and services and deploy security solutions in the Microsoft 365 environment in a targeted manner. You plan and implement demanding ICT projects with a focus on security and infrastructure and carry out installations, migrations, and further developments of complex systems. As a Senior Systems Specialist in IT security, you advise clients at eye level, manage expectations, and provide clear, well-founded recommendations on security and architecture strategy.
Responsibilities:
- You develop cyber and data security solutions further to sustainably protect customer and internal environments and minimise risks.
- In this role, you design and implement security architectures and create security concepts according to common standards.
- You conduct security audits, vulnerability scans, and risk analyses and derive concrete security measures from these.
- As a Senior Systems Specialist in IT security, you operate, harden, and optimise IT infrastructures and central services such as Linux/Unix, Netscaler, Nextcloud, mail gateways, and web platforms.
- You deploy security solutions in the Microsoft 365 environment (e.g. Defender, Sentinel) and develop them purposefully further.
- In this role, you plan and implement demanding ICT projects, installations, migrations, and further developments of complex IT systems and provide technical advice to customers in the area of security and architecture.
Qualifications:
- Completed education in computer science (system technology) or a comparable background
- Very solid know-how in network and cyber security (e.g. routing, switching, firewall)
- Several years of experience in leading ICT projects with clear result responsibility
- Strong ability to plan, manage, and successfully complete projects in a structured manner
- Strength in professional leadership of customers, expectation management, and formulation of clear recommendations
- High reliability, independence, willingness to learn, and enjoyment of direct customer contact; German at native speaker level
