Role:

On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager General Planning & Construction Management for the overall management of demanding building projects from planning to realisation. You will lead interdisciplinary project teams, represent the client, and be responsible for costs, deadlines, quality, and project organisation throughout the entire project duration. In addition to technical and organisational control, you will take on tasks in project controlling, contract management, and general planning. The position combines demanding construction management with high leadership and client responsibility as well as the opportunity to actively further develop internal processes.

Responsibilities:

• Overall management of demanding building projects from planning to realisation

• Assumption of the general planning and overall management function across the relevant SIA phases

• Leadership and coordination of architects, engineers, specialist planners, experts, and contractors

• Consultation and support of the client as the central contact person throughout the entire project duration

• Responsibility for cost, deadline, quality, and performance targets

• Establishment and management of an efficient project organisation, scheduling, and resource coordination

• Execution of ongoing project controlling including forecasts, reporting, and control of measures

• Coordination of interfaces between architecture, structural engineering, building services, and execution

• Preparation and conduct of contract and award negotiations with planners and contractors

• Leadership of project, planning, and coordination meetings as well as follow-up on decisions

• Early identification and management of project risks, conflicts of objectives, claims, and planning changes

• Participation in the operational development of project management, general planning, and quality processes

Qualifications:

• University degree as Architect FH/ETH, Civil Engineer FH/ETH or comparable technical education

• Further training in project management, construction management or real estate management is an advantage

• Several years of experience in project or overall management of demanding Swiss construction projects, ideally in general planning

• Sound knowledge of SIA phases, Swiss construction practice as well as cost, deadline and contract management

• Experience in leading interdisciplinary project teams as well as dealing with clients and contractors

• Confident handling of Messerli construction administration and contemporary project management and office applications

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form
