Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for a technically skilled professional for the planning and design of demanding HVAC systems in the areas of infrastructure, building construction, and industry. You will accompany projects from concept development and feasibility study to execution planning in SIA phases 3-5 and develop energy-efficient and sustainable building technology solutions. A special focus is on the dimensioning of complex ventilation and cooling systems as well as the technical coordination with other disciplines. The position combines classic engineering with energy, fluid, and building technology as well as modern digital planning methods.
Responsibilities:
Management and technical handling of demanding HVAC projects in infrastructure, building construction, and industry
Development of system and energy concepts as well as conducting technical feasibility and variant studies
Design of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, cooling, and sanitary systems in the relevant SIA phases 3-5
Execution of technical calculations, dimensioning, and system design for building technology systems
Design of complex ventilation and cooling systems for infrastructure, industrial, and technically demanding building projects
Creation of principle diagrams, technical specifications, calculation bases, and project documentation
Development and evaluation of solutions regarding energy efficiency, sustainability, operational safety, and cost-effectiveness
Coordination of technical interfaces between HVAC, electrical, building automation, construction, and other disciplines
Preparation and review of tender and execution documents as well as technical support during realisation
Application of BIM methods and Revit in model-based planning and interdisciplinary coordination
Ensuring design compliance with relevant SIA standards, SWKI guidelines, and technical standards
Collaboration with internal specialists, project managers, and engineering disciplines on complex overall projects
Qualifications:
University degree at FH/ETH level in building, mechanical, or energy engineering or comparable technical education with a focus on energy, fluid, or process engineering
Professional experience in the planning of HVAC, cooling, or thermal systems, preferably in infrastructure or industrial environments
Solid knowledge in ventilation and cooling technology, dimensioning, and technical system planning
Experience in handling SIA phases 3-5 as well as knowledge of relevant SIA standards and SWKI guidelines
Knowledge of BIM and Revit is an advantage as well as confident use of Microsoft 365
Very good Italian skills and German at least level B2
English and/or French skills are an advantage
